Force Won’t Tolerate Bad Apples 15 Apr 2015
With recent complaints of police brutality and assault on ordinary citizens the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary has come down hard on its members.
Measures have been taken to respond to the public outcry on police behavior.
Highlands Region Assistant Police Commissioner Teddy Tei said there is no place for sick minded personals who take advantage of vulnerable like very young girls and old women.
He was referring to the incident of March 26th when a probation police constable attached with Gordons Police luxury fake rolex watches Station in the company of two accomplices murdered a 20 year DODL student just outside Mt Hagen when she refused them sex.
ACP Tei said the murderer George Baker has been apprehended and is awaiting trial however the other two are still on the run.
Police in Mt Hagen have been given a tip off on the location of one and arrest will be made soon.
