Sandaun Governors Election Date Differed 23 Mar 2015
The Sandaun Provincial Assembly has deferred the election of the new Provincial Governor, pending the Supreme Courts decision on the ousted former Governor, Amkat Mai which is set for the 30th of this month.
A source within the Provincial Assembly who wishes to remain anonymous, says the election date is set for the 1st of April, with Belden Namah and Solan Mirisim as contenders for the position.
Both MPs will be voted by the Provincial Assembly which is made up of LLG presidents.
