OFFICE OF MOROBE GOVERNOR CONDEMNS ATTACK 12 Sep 2013
The office of the Governor of Morobe is sad particularly on Independence week, by an unfortunate incident involving attacks by bandits on Aussie Trekkers and PNG guides at Black Cat Track in Wau Bulolo. Paul Naima, Executive Officer and Press Secretary to the Governor on behalf of the Governor's Office convey their condolences to the families of the two porters killed and have vowed to do all they can under their jurisdiction with the support of the National Government to bring the perpetrators to justice. He says it happened at a time when a lot of funds are being committed to policing law and order in Morobe province. Mr. Naima says they will not tolerate any criminal elements of any nature. He says tourists are a vital industry who must be protected.
