The Western Province Governor says it was a great opportunity to make an announcement on behalf of the people of Western Province on the relationship they are establishing with FM100.
He said FM100 is a leading radio broadcaster in the country and they want to benefit from their programs especially news and current affairs and talk back shows
The Governor said FM100 is already broadcasting in the North Fly of Western Province but they want to extend the services throughout the province.
He also took the opportunity to announce that his government has approved the full funding of the coverage of FM100 to the remaining parts of the Western Province. The cheque will be given after the scope of investigations is completed.
The Governor is very happy and looks forward to working with the FM100 CEO’s assistance and looks forward to building a long term working relationship.
FM100 CEO, John Mong thanked the Governor and Administrator, on behalf of the board thanked the Provincial Executive Council and people of Western Province for placing their trust in FM100.
He said FM100 hope to have the sight survey completed in five weeks and be able to cover Western Province in full.
Mr Mong said FM100 believe that people listen to a lot of development issues especially our talk back shows and the PEC is wise to get the station on air in Western Province so people are aware of what’s happening in Waigani.
